Olena Pavlova, Dr habil. (Philosophy), professor at the Department of Ethics, Aesthetics and Culture Studies, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and Research Fellow Department of History, Humboldt-University of Berlin.

The sphere of research interests covers aesthetics, cultural studies, visual studies, cultural history. She is the author of the book The Ontological Status of Aesthetic Experience (Kyiv, 2008), co-author of several collective monographs and the author of almost 200 articles. She is the managing editor of the peer-reviewed academic journal Ukrainian Cultural Studies, and Secretary of the Commission for Cultural Studies at the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
