Open Space Method

The Open Space Method offers a structured method for the creative development of innovative projects and ideas. In an Open Space Workshop there are no prespecified topics, except a thematical framework and an objective that the participants will try to reach. In our Open Space Workshop, the participants will try to determine topics and projects that they think will be crucial or that they would like to work on in future studies about Central European cultures. The participants will be completely free in choosing the topic/project they want to work on. They will be flexible in taking breaks, creating, and switching groups or structuring their time and energy. The aim of this workshop is not to develop finalized project designs, but to empower participants in finding creative strategies that will help in answering relevant research questions, as well as in creating new interdisciplinary networks. In addition to the on-site working groups, we will also enable people who are unable to participate in person to work on a topic in a digital working group via Zoom.
